A Parish of Sprotbrough & Cusworth lies terzetto miles north west of Doncaster town centre in South Yorkshire, England and is split by the A1 motorway.
It’s believed that a title Sprotbrough originates from the mix of English and Scandinavian names, with ‘Sprotte’ existence the shoot & ‘Brough’ existence Scandinavian for a defendable place.

Cadeby (Catebi)
Wildthorpe (Widentorp)
Cusworth (Cuzenworde)
Skinthorpe (Scinestorp)
& Newton, 1st mentioned inside 1379 when it was called Future Farmstead.
Victims early hamlets would have been ringed by huge areas of agricultural land and numbers of of the open fields i personally however use at times now use list that may be traced back to early maps of the locality.
The key focal point of Sprotbrough is St Mary’s Church, founded in 1190, with its splendid working clock tower that has overlooking views of the Don Valley
